Lost Your Aadhaar Number? Here’s How to Retrieve It via UIDAI Website, App, or Call

Losing your Aadhaar card or forgetting that magical 12-digit number is like a mini heart attack. Especially when you need it urgently for something important like school admission, a new job, or a government scheme. We understand. It’s no longer just a card—it’s your identity.

Why Aadhaar Still Matters

Aadhaar is India’s master key. Your biometric and demographic information— fingerprint, iris scan, address, phone number, and so forth are filed away in it. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) launched Aadhaar with an aim to stem fraud. And it was a success. Counterfeit IDs is all but a relic of the past. It is mandatory now to access most government services and online checks.

But suppose you lose your Aadhaar card and do not remember the number. Do not worry, you are not alone. The same happens to many others. Fortunately, UIDAI has introduced a facility to retrieve your Aadhaar number hassle-free, no need to stress out.
