Maruti Brezza vs Tata Nexon : If you’re hoping to get a compact SUV by 2025, chances are Maruti Brezza and Tata Nexon feature among the big names on your list. These SUVs really took off in India mostly because of their appealing looks, sturdy features, and amazing performance. But by 2025, which will emerge as the best value for money? Let us make a simple comparison.
Exterior Styling and Design
The 2025 Maruti Brezza continues its bold and clean design language, while the Tata Nexon offering is futuristic with an accentuated road presence. The LED DRLs, split headlamps, and a sloped coupe-like rear make it seem more of an attention-grabber than the Brezza. In terms of sporty looks, the Nexon is slightly favored.
Interiors and Features
The interiors of the Brezza offer a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, wireless Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, and an electric sunroof. On the other hand, the Tata Nexon now also presents a 10.25-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster along with touch-based HVAC controls, even ventilated seats in the higher variants. While both cars provide six airbags in the higher variants, the Nexon feels a bit more premium in the interiors.

Performance and Engine Options
Maruti Brezza comes outfitted with a 1.5L petrol engine with smooth performance and decent mileage of 18-20 kmpl with mild hybrid technology. Tata Nexon, on the other hand, comes with options of 1.2L turbo-petrol and 1.5L diesel engines. The turbo engine is fun to drive and offers DCT and AMT gearboxes too. If one wants engine option varieties and a better punch, Nexon is ahead on this front.
Safety Rating
Both cars have 6 airbags, ESC, and a robust build quality. While the older Nexon had a 5-star rating by Global NCAP, the new 2025 models still have to undergo testing under the new norms. Tata, however, is regarded as an anchor for safety, and when considering the overall feel, the Nexon seems to be more solid.
