The Fronx differentiates itself with a sporty front grille, SUV-like styling, and coupe-like roofline. With such agency, it stands different and more modern when compared to other hatchbacks or compact SUVs roaming around.

Upon opening the door, most of the dashboard is premium-looking for its price. The dual-tone dashboard along the 9-inch touchscreen with features like cruise control, push-button start, and head-up display complete this fully loaded package with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wired.

Getting down to the nitty-gritty: performance. The Fronx Turbo activates a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo petrol engine, which develops useful figures of 100 PS and 147 Nm of torque; the engine loves to pair with a six-speed automatic transmission-quick-witted and offers loads of fun behind the wheel.

The car speeds up just a touch more smoothly along the highway runs when compared to its naturally-aspirated petrol counterpart, if not more so, thus keeping things less dull. Good performer in its own right even in heavy city traffic.

With respect to the ride, the Fronx copes exceedingly well with rough potholes and roads for its size. The suspension is well-tuned to add comfort without being too soft. Steering is small and light making the car very easy to park and maneuver in thick urban traffic.

But then there are some cons to consider. Rear-seat space is average-it will be just about okay for two adults and uncomfortably tight for three. Yes, the turbo variant is not cheap as compared to the regular 1.2L petrol variant, but it is fun and performs better even if it drinks a bit of extra fuel with a heavy right foot.
