MG M9 Electric MPV Set to Launch Soon in India – Complete Details with All Features

MG M9 Electric MPV : MG Motor India is now preparing to launch its new electric MPV, MG M9 in India soon. It will be sold through the company’s new MG Premium dealership network, which is being started in select cities across the country.

First glimpse and launch preparations

The MG M9 was first shown in India at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. At the same time, this car has now been seen at a dealership, which makes it clear that its launch is now just a few weeks away. This electric MPV is expected to hit the Indian market in the next 2 to 3 months.

Color options and dealership expansion

This luxurious MPV will be brought in three stunning colors – Cardiff Black, Luminous White and Mystic Gray. MG Motor is currently launching its premium ‘MG Select’ dealerships in 13 major cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Gurugram, Jaipur, Lucknow and Kochi.

Battery, Range and Performance

The MG M9 will be a fully electric MPV, which has a large 90 kWh battery. This vehicle produces around 245 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. Once fully charged, it will be able to give a WLTP-range of around 430 km.

Price and seating layout

The estimated starting price of this MPV can be around Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). It can be brought to India as a CKD (Completely Knocked Down) unit. It will have a total seating arrangement of 7 people, and the middle row will have two relaxing ottoman seats with 8 types of massage modes.

Features and technology

The MG M9 will be equipped with many luxury and high-tech features, such as dual sunroof, ventilated seats, electric sliding doors, 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, auto hold, tire pressure monitoring system, powered seats, large touchscreen that supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, digital instrument cluster and wireless charging.

Who will it compete with?

After launch, the MG M9 may compete with the recently launched fourth-generation Kia Carnival in India.

Booking and future plans

Along with this electric MPV, booking of MG’s Cyberster sports car has also started. The company plans to introduce a new full-size SUV called Majestor by the end of this year.
