MG Majestor Spotted Testing Again in India : Premium SUV Launch Set for May 2025
MG Majestor SUV : MG Motor is working on a new full-size SUV MG Majestor, which has been spotted testing in India once again. This SUV targets the D+ segment of India and will be positioned one step above the company’s existing Gloster SUV. The vehicle was first showcased during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in February 2025 and now preparations for its launch are almost complete.
Launch date and price
Expected launch: May 2025 (estimated around May 18)
Expected price: Rs 40 lakh to Rs 46 lakh (ex-showroom)
The MG Majestor will be launched in India as a premium SUV above the Gloster. It will compete with high-end SUVs like the Fortuner Legender, Skoda Kodiaq, and VW Tiguan.
Design and exterior updates
Recent spy images have revealed that the look of the Majestor will be very muscular and premium. It can be seen in-
- New style split LED headlights
- Wide grille and strong skid plate
- Connected LED taillamps
- Chrome finish dual exhaust and large rear bumper
- Large wheel arches and conventional door handles in the side profile
- Large size and road presence, which gives it the feel of a full-size SUV

The MG Majestor is likely to get the same engines that are being offered in the current Gloster –
- 2.0L single-turbo diesel engine
- 158 bhp power
- 373 Nm torque
- 2.0L twin-turbo diesel engine
- 212 bhp power
- 478 Nm torque
Both engines can also be offered with the option of 8-speed automatic transmission and 4WD system.
