- MG Motor has unveiled its new big SUV Majestor in India. The company showcased it at the recently held Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Majestor is now rapidly moving towards its launch and according to reports, it will be launched in the market within the next 2 to 3 months.
This SUV has been built on the platform of Maxus D90 already present in international markets. In India, MG Majestor will be positioned above Gloster, but Gloster will not be removed, rather both models will be sold together.
The design of Majestor will be quite different and more powerful than Gloster. It will get a new big black grille, sharp LED DRLs, vertical LED projector headlamps and changed taillight design. Apart from this, new stylish skid plates, dual exhaust setup, twin-spoke alloy wheels and “Majestor” badging will also be seen on the tailgate.
Talking about the engine, it will get the same 2.0-litre twin-turbo diesel engine that comes in the Gloster. This engine produces 213 bhp of power and 478 Nm of torque. The SUV will also have the option of a selectable four-wheel-drive system.
The Majestor will get a lot of premium features like – 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, iSmart connected car technology, powered front seats with ventilated and massage function, panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, 360 degree camera and Level 2 ADAS safety features.
After launch, the MG Majestor will challenge vehicles like Toyota Fortuner Legender, new Volkswagen Taigun R-Line and next generation Skoda Kodiaq in the Indian market.
Overall, the MG Majestor can be a great option for customers looking for a premium and powerful full-size SUV.
