MG Windsor EV Pro : MG Motor India has launched a new version of its best-selling electric car Windsor EV in India, the Windsor EV Pro. This car has come with many new features and longer range, making its position more premium than before. The company has kept its starting price at Rs 12.49 lakh (under Battery-as-a-Service scheme). At the same time, for customers who want to buy it with a full battery, its price is Rs 17.49 lakh. This offer is only for the first 8,000 customers and its booking will start from 8 May 2025.

Powerful battery and long range

The Windsor Pro now has a larger 53 kWh battery that can run up to 449 km on a single charge. The old model had a 38 kWh battery with a range of 332 km. That is, in the new Windsor Pro you are getting an additional range of more than 100 km.

Boost of great features

The new Windsor EV Pro has been given more advanced technology than before. Now high-tech features like Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) and V2L (Vehicle to Load) have been added to it. Apart from this, now the car will also get new dual-tone ivory interior, powered tailgate, and newly designed alloy wheels.

Big upgrade in interior and comfort

The interior of the Windsor Pro looks even more luxurious than before. In this you get-

  • Larger 15.6-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Six-way electric adjustable driver seat
  • Reclining rear seats that can recline up to 135 degrees

1. Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS):

Price: ₹12.49 lakh (ex-showroom)

Battery rental: ₹4.5 per km

2. Full purchase option:

Price: ₹17.49 lakh (for first 8,000 customers)

Buyback and warranty benefits

For the first time, MG has promised its customers a lifetime battery warranty and 60% buyback value after three years. This special facility will be available only to the first owner.

Colour options

The car will now be available in three new colours:

  • Aurora Silver
  • Glaze Red
  • Celadon Blue

The Windsor EV has sold 20,000 units in the Indian market in just 6 months, which is proof of its popularity. Its large battery, luxurious interiors and low running costs make it a great family EV.
