MG Windsor Pro EV Set to Launch on May 6 with Level-2 ADAS and 450+ Km Range

MG Motor India is going to launch a new electric SUV in the domestic market on 6 May 2025 – the name is MG Windsor Pro EV. Recently a glimpse of this car came out without any covering, in which the ADAS badge was also clearly visible at the back. Now the company has officially confirmed some special features of this vehicle.

Great safety with 12 advanced ADAS features

Windsor Pro will be introduced with Level-2 ADAS technology. It will get a total of 12 safety features, including:

Kia’s Upcoming 4 Cars for India (2025-2026) – Clavis, EVs & a New Hybrid Revolution

Under all these features, the driver will be alerted in three ways – through audio, visual and haptic signals. This will make driving even more safe and comfortable. This is the same technology that has already been given in vehicles like MG Astor, Hector and ZS EV.

Big change in battery and range

The new Windsor Pro EV will be given a bigger battery, which will increase its range. While the current model runs 332 km on a single charge, the new Windsor Pro EV is expected to get a range of more than 450 km. This SUV will probably use the same 50.3 kWh battery pack as the ZS EV.

V2L and V2V technology will give a new experience

Two new technologies will also be given in this car:

V2L (Vehicle-to-Load): With this feature, you can charge small electronic devices like laptop, coffee maker or portable AC directly from your car.

V2V (Vehicle-to-Vehicle): Through this technology, you will also be able to charge another electric car.

Premium exterior and luxury interior

The MG Windsor Pro will have all the luxury features that are in the regular version:

This electric SUV will have a large 15.6-inch Grand View touchscreen system, which will support wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Along with this, it will have more than 80 i-Smart connected features, which will also be operated by voice command.

Talking about safety…

Although the company has not confirmed it, it is believed that 6 airbags will be given as standard in MG Windsor Pro. This will also make this car strong in terms of safety in its segment.

Price and competition

The price of MG Windsor Pro EV can be around Rs 17 to Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it will compete directly with the long range version of Tata Nexon EV and the upcoming Hyundai Creta EV.
