Sirens, Hooters, and Simulation of Blackout
Both Bikaner and Jodhpur gave an early lead by erecting sirens and hooters at multiple locations-10 in Bikaner and 18 in Jodhpur-so as to serve as an alarm during the drill. Air raid sirens will sound at the appointed time on May 7. Citizens are encouraged to switch off all the lights, whether in residence or on the street, as well as the mobile lights and highway illumination.
Awareness Building and Emergency Training
The exercise will be staged not just to simulate wartime-like conditions but also to educate the public on skills like injury management and steps for safety at airports, railway stations, bus stands, and hospitals-all areas of emergency preparedness at the urban level. Special emphasis will be placed on sensitive areas and public places.
Central Government Message: Stay Alert
The Central Government has identified the maintenance of alertness amongst the populace as a matter of primordial importance in light of the threat posed by recent developments and has taken concrete steps toward their protection through this large-scale exercise. While India observes intensively on its northern borders, drills such as these ensure that both the administration and citizens remain alert, prepared, and resilient.
Stay Updated and Follow Instructions
All residents of Rajasthan are requested to thoroughly cooperate with the administration and strictly abide by the official instructions as well as remain informed through official channels of the local administration.
