Monsoon 2025 latest update: Find out when the rains will hit Delhi-NCR, Bihar, and Jharkhand. IMD issues fresh forecasts with heatwave relief and rain alerts.
Monsoon Regains Strength After Early June Slowdown
The monsoon, which took a breather after June 5, has started rumbling back to life. The flow of the monsoon was stagnant due to depression over the Bay of Bengal, due to which monsoon was not active in Western parts of the country.” The India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated. This transition will now pave the way for rain in eastern and central India, providing relief from the searing heat and humidity.
Bihar to Get Rain Showers From June 17
The State is expected to receive monsoon by June 17, a few days behind schedule. A few cities including Patna, Muzaffarpur, Gaya, and Purnia may record more rainfall activity. What will accompany the fall in temperatures is not just an end to the searing heat, but also a timely windfall for farmers set to plant their kharif crops.
Jharkhand Waits for Rain Between June 16–18
The suffocating humidity in Jharkhand, particularly in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, is on the verge of breaking. IMD forecast has said light to moderate rainfall would occur between June 16 and June 18.
