Pahalgam Attack Mystery: To send a strong message Indian security forces launched a big counter attack. By Friday night seven houses of Lashkar e Taiba operatives in Shopian, Kulgam and Pulwama were reduced to ashes. In Shopian’s Chotipora village, Lashkar commander Shahid Ahmad house was the first to go ending the reign of a man who had been coordinating attacks for years.
In Kulgam’s Matlam sector active militant Zahid Ahmad’s house met the same fate showing India’s zero tolerance towards terrorism.
Pulwama: Ground Zero
Pulwama’s Murran region became the next battleground. Terrorist Ahsan-ul-Haq’s house was targeted with precision strikes. Authorities confirmed Ahsan had gone to Pakistan in 2018 and had recently resumed his activities in the Valley. Not far away Lashkar militant Ehsan Ahmad Sheikh’s house active since mid 2023 was also reduced to rubble. Haris Ahmad’s house in Kachipora, linked to terror networks since last year was also demolished.
Pahalgam Attackers on the Run
Even before the big operation on Friday forces had demolished the houses of Adil Hussain and Asif Sheikh two main accused in the Pahalgam massacre. Officials said their houses were stocked with explosives making them a bigger threat to civilians.
Meanwhile Anantnag police released sketches of three accused and announced a reward of ₹20 lakh for information intensifying the search across Kashmir.
India’s Strong Diplomatic Blow to Pakistan
In response to the Pahalgam carnage the Indian Government suspended the Indus Waters Treaty with Pakistan and expelled Pakistani military officials accusing them of sheltering terror outfits. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, “No terrorist, nor their enablers, will escape justice.”
As search operations tighten their grip across Kashmir, India’s message is clear: Terrorism will be answered with full force.
