Pakistan Issues Urgent Warning: Indian Strike Imminent After Pahalgam

New top alarm bells indicate all-round allegations from Pakistan about “credible intelligence” relating to something like an imminent military operation by India. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar made the announcement late Tuesday, warning that action from India’s side could happen in about 24 to 36 hours. Alleged trigger: accusations against Pakistan of being involved in the recent Pahalgam massacre.

Pakistan is raising alarm bells over what it claims to be credible intelligence that an imminent Indian military strike is about to occur. Information Minister Attaullah Tarar issued the warning late Tuesday night and made it clear that India could act within a time-frame of 24-36 hours following the most recent accusations of Pakistan’s involvement in the incident termed as Pahalgam massacre.

Another attack, which comes on the back of the Pahalagd shooting on April 22 when 26 tourists, including one Nepalese national were killed, has amplified the charge India levelled on Pakistan. It was one of the deadliest assaults in Jammu and Kashmir post Pulwama in 2019. The speculation of retaliation has culminated with India pointing fingers at Pakistan backed elements.

This is however a baseless and concocted story put forth by Tarar who said, “India plays the role of judge, jury and executioner“. “Even while being victims of terrorism, Pakistan condemns all forms of violence”, stated Tarar. “India’s reckless stance is provocative and dangerous,” stated Tarar.

Islamabad Musters Military Readiness

Pakistan’s defense posture has changed already. Defense Minister Khawaja Asif told Reuters that the nation is on high alert and has augmented its strategic positions. “The situation is tense. We have taken crucial decisions, and in case of need, we are ready to respond,” Asif said.

Tarar reiterated those statements by saying that any form of Indian military adventurism would be met with firm action. He urged the international community to intervene and help to avert this trend. “The responsibility for any outcome would by India, ” he warned.

The rhetoric and readiness level by both nuclear armed countries has been high. The stakes could not get higher. Islamabad, meanwhile has charged global powers to keep vigilant against the threats of conflict descending into war.
