Big Day for Farmers and Saran District
June 20 is going to be a special day for farmers across India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Siwan in Bihar, and there’s a good chance he’ll release the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme from there. This equals crores of farmers becoming worthy of a possibility of ₹2,000 in their bank accounts. The event will happen in Pachrukhi’s Jasouli area, and people are calling it both a political move and a big step for development.
Direct Money Transfer to Crores of Farmers
The farmers get ₹6,000 per year under the PM-Kisan scheme in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each. This time, it’s the 20th installment. And if all goes as expected, PM Modi will press a button and send money to the accounts of millions of farmers. That too, live from Bihar’s soil. It’s being seen as a proud moment for the people of Saran. Some say the region may become a new focus for national farm policies.
Saran Powers ‘Make in India’ Globally
That’s not all. PM Modi will also inaugurate diesel engines produced in the Madhaura plant in Bihar. These engines will be sent all the way to Guinea in Africa. It’s part of the “Make in India” dream turning global. For a factory in Saran to ship something overseas, that’s a big deal.
₹9,519 Crore Projects to Be Launched
There are more gifts lined up. The Prime Minister will be launching and inaugurating several development schemes worth more than ₹9,500 crore. They are drainage facilities, provision of clean drinking water, sewerage plants, and town cleanliness projects. The focus is on improving people’s basic needs.
Garkha-Manpur Road to Be Widened
A key road project, Garkha to Manpur is getting attention too. It’ll be widened and strengthened at the cost of ₹81.47 crore. This is set to ease transport and connect more parts of the district smoothly.
Ayushman Bharat Card Milestone
Saran will also be praised during the event for giving out the highest number of Ayushman cards in Bihar. So far, more than 80.9% eligible people here have received their health cards. That’s a proud number.

Heavy Crowd Expected, Security Tight
Locals are excited. From farmers to youth, everyone seems eager for the PM’s visit. BJP and NDA are treating it as a mega event. Security’s tight; drone cameras, layered protection, and everything else is being arranged. This event also hints at BJP’s bigger plans for the 2025 assembly elections in Bihar.
Something big is definitely brewing in Saran.
