It also nourishes our body and is prepared in a thin layer. It does not spoil quickly. Do try this recipe once. You will like it very much. What ingredients do I need to make poha?

Ingredients to make Poha :

  1. Thick Poha—1.5 cups
  2. Onion—1 medium 
  3. Green chili—1-2 (
  4. Peanuts—2 tablespoons Mustard
  5. seeds—1/2 tsp
  6. Curry leaves—7-8 leaves
  7. Turmeric powder—1/4 tsp
  8. Salt—as per taste
  9. Lemon juice—1 tbsp
  10. Coriander leaves—2 tbsp (finely chopped)
  11. Oil—2 tbsp

 Method to make Poha :

Put the poha in a sieve and wash it gently. Keep it aside for 5 minutes so that it becomes soft. Heat oil in a wok. Add mustard seeds; when they crackle, add curry leaves, green chilies, and peanuts. Fry the peanuts till they become light brown. Now add onions and fry till they turn light pink.

Then add turmeric and salt. Now add the soaked poha and mix well. Cook for 2-3 minutes on a low flame. Turn off the gas and add lemon juice and coriander leaves. Serve the poha hot. You can enhance the taste by adding bhujia, sev, or pomegranate seeds on top. If you want, you can also add potatoes or peas. Lemon juice gives a very fresh taste; definitely add it in the end.
