Punjab School Education Board Announces Class 5 Results with Impressive Success Rate
With an impressive 99.54% the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has now published the Class 5 board results for the year 2025. Over three lakh students who appeared for the examination may now celebrate as the results brought in confidence across the state.
Over About 3 Lakh Students Appears, Most of Them Promoted to Next Class
This time the total count of those who appeared for Class 5 was 300,575 this year of which 299,204 have been promoted to the next grade so one can say that this was another terrific overall performance made by young minds across Punjab. The board’s evaluation and assessment not only indicated excellent academic performance but also stringent efficient teaching methods all due to the dedication of teachers and students.
Girls Outshining Boys with Their Pass Percentage
Interestingly, also this year, girls outperformed boys. While 141,844 girls cleared the exam with a pass percentage of 99.55 percent, the boys recorded a slightly lower pass rate at 99.48 percent. This continuing pattern among girls at the top academically in Punjab reflects the attention given to girls’ education in the state.
CWSN Students Show Exceptional Performance
This is indeed a reminder to all and history for this year’s examination of the Children With Special Needs (CWSN). This time out of the 2,927 students from this special category who appeared in the exam 2,896 cleared it. Thus taking the percentage for this segment up to a commendable 98.94. Their success proves that inclusive education can work with the support of all educators and institutions.
List of Toppers Not Released Because of Full Marks
Unlike the previous years, the board has not released the toppers list for Class 5. The reason given being the large number of perfect scorers many at 500 out of 500 marks. “As per PSEB norms, younger candidates are ranked higher in merit”.
Class 8 Results Also Announced Earlier
Class 8 results were announced on 4th April 2025. Of 290,471 students, 282,627 were declared passed, with boys having a pass percentage of 96.49% and girls having one of 98.19%.
