Young girls in Rajasthan have blossoms of good news everywhere. The state government has launched a warm initiative that is turning heads and generating grins. Daughters who envision a future in agriculture today receive financial assistance in addition to encouragement.
A Ray of Hope for Agricultural Girls
The government of Rajasthan has declared a special incentive for girls seeking a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) agriculture degree under the Rajasthan Sambal Scheme. As per this revised policy, state daughters will receive Rs 1 lakh over four years to support their education—Rs 25,000 each year during the course. The aim is to ensure that financial barriers do not limit girls’ interest in agriculture and related fields of study.
Not Only B.Sc.—More Courses Covered
Although B.Sc. takes centre stage, this isn’t the only path that qualifies; agriculture does as well. Girls may also find that other agriculture-related initiatives aid. The strategy is flexible and motivational, offering support wherever it sees potential for growth in farming.
Where to Study: Two Government Colleges in Jhunjhunu
If you live in Rajasthan and want to learn farming, Jhunjhunu district is the place to go. There are two government colleges: one in Mandawa and one in Chidawa. The Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is the means through which these colleges admit candidates. Hence, anyone who wants to study there should start prepping for JEE.
Who Can Apply? Here is what you need to know
Only girls who permanently reside in Rajasthan may apply. They also need to be studying in colleges, universities or schools acknowledged by the government. Students will need to present their domicile certificate, last year’s mark sheet and any other necessary papers to apply.
How the System Works: The Raj Kisan Saathi Portal
Once students register on the Raj Kisan Saathi portal, their application goes to their institution. This individual reviews every detail and issues an e-signature certificate verifying the student’s class. Certified incorrect information will ultimately reflect on institutional leadership.
Support Beyond Schooling
The scheme goes beyond B.Sc. Girls who pursue agriculture following tenth grade may earn Rs 15,000 per class 11 and 12. The assistance for a PhD in agriculture reaches Rs 1.2 lakh.
This project sends a strong signal that Rajasthan values the potential and future of its daughters, not only financial support.
