Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 : Brand’s First Electric Bike Spotted Testing, Launch Expected in 2026

Royal Enfield Flying Flea C6 Launched Soon : Royal Enfield, which is famous for its classic and retro style bikes, is now going to enter the electric vehicle segment. The company introduced its first electric bike ‘Flying Flea C6’ during the 2024 EICMA show held in Milan, Italy last year. Now this bike has been seen during testing in India and some of its exclusive pictures have also surfaced.

‘Flying Flea C6’ has been specially designed for city use. The technical features of this bike, which comes with light weight and stylish look, such as battery capacity, range and motor power are currently kept secret by the company. However, it is certain that Royal Enfield will bring this model on the production line in early 2026.

Flying Flea C6 also looks different in terms of design. Forged aluminum has been used in it, which not only makes the bike strong but also keeps its weight low. Its front suspension is based on a girder-style fork, inspired by the motorcycles of the 1940s. Along with this, a specially designed front mudguard has also been given, which further enhances its vintage look.

Talking about the features, the Flying Flea C6 has fully LED lights, stylish black alloy wheels and split seats. Apart from this, a round shaped digital touchscreen display will also be available in it, which can be called a modern version of the old classic dial.

Royal Enfield has also taken care of smart connectivity in this bike. It will have the facility to start the bike without a key through a smartphone. Also, the software of the bike can be updated from time to time through OTA (Over The Air).

The bike will also have a specially designed Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), which will automatically adjust the performance of the bike according to the style of the rider during riding. The company says that this system has the ability to manage more than two lakh different riding settings, which will also control acceleration, braking and regenerative braking.

There is no shortage in safety features either. Lean-sensing ABS will be given in Flying Flea C6, which will control braking according to the angle of bending of the bike. Apart from this, premium features like cruise control will also be available in this electric bike, which will make long journeys more comfortable.

For charging, Royal Enfield has also given the facility to charge it from a domestic three-pin socket, so that there will be no need to buy a separate fast charger.

This entire electric bike project has been prepared by Royal Enfield through its special team spread across India and the United Kingdom. About 200 engineers and designers have together developed its electric motor, battery management system (BMS) and custom software in-house. A separate manufacturing unit has also been set up for this in Chennai, which will also work for other electric models of the company in future.

Royal Enfield will launch the Flying Flea C6 in India as well as in the international market. The company is currently developing an electric version of its famous adventure bike ‘Himalayan’, which can become another great option for riding enthusiasts in the coming time.
