Royal Enfield GT-R 750 : Royal Enfield is set to further expand its motorcycle range by launching a new 750cc bike by the end of this financial year. This bike will come with the name ‘Continental GT-R 750’ and it will be the first offering of the company’s 750cc series.
After the huge success of 650cc bikes, Royal Enfield is now preparing a new 750cc engine line, which has the internal codename ‘R’. According to reports, this new engine will be used in the GT-R 750 and it will be brought as a stylish cafe racer.
How will the engine and performance be?
Although its full technical features have not been revealed yet, it is believed that this new motorcycle will have the same twin cylinder technology that is seen in 650cc models, but this time with more power and torque. The 650cc engine currently gives 47hp power and 52.3Nm torque, while the 750cc version will be more powerful than this.
What’s new in design and features?
The design of the GT-R 750 will be inspired by the GT 650, but it will have a very different identity. This bike will look bolder, heavier and sportier. It is believed that it will get new electronic features and premium technology, which will make it a high-end cafe racer.
Price and competition
The price of 650cc models in India is between ₹ 3 lakh to ₹ 4 lakh (ex-showroom), so the price of GT-R 750 can be above this. Still, this bike will be affordable compared to international brands and will offer strong competition in the Indian market.
Future planning is also in full swing
After the GT-R 750, many more bikes based on this engine – like roadster, cruiser and adventure models – are expected to come. Apart from this, Royal Enfield is also working on its electric bike series, some glimpses of which have already been shown.
Recently, the company has also introduced the Classic 650 Twin, which is the heaviest Royal Enfield bike till date. Earlier, models like Bear 650, Guerrilla 450 and Himalayan 450 have been launched.
