Sony is gearing up to launch its next generation flagship smartphone, “XPERIA 1 VII” which is an upgraded version of the “Xperia 1 VI” that debuted last year. Xperia 1 VI which was known for its long battery life and strong camera system gained popularity around the world. Although it was never officially launched in INDIA, that never stopped people from buying it from International markets like Japan, UK and Europe.
Now that the news is out, for the launch of “Xperia 1 VII”. The Sony smartphone features have already leaked online before its actual launch. The news is promising to witness notable changes, upgrades, and enhancements in the smartphone. This smartphone will be in direct competition with smartphones like Samsung, Apple, and Google, putting Sony to be in a great position among them.
Leaked Details and Specifications
As per the records, an image of the “Xperia 1 VII” has appeared on the Taiwan National Communication Commission (NCC) website, where the phone seems to come up with multiple color variants like “Black, Navy,Green and Purple”. Whereas the design seems to remain same as the boxy look, similar to Xperia 1 VI.
If the leaked news is set to be true, then the Xperia 1 VII smartphone is coming up with a 6.5 inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which is coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage making this smartphone one of robust, best for multitasking and gaming smartphones.
With the Triple Camera setup, this smartphone provides a detailed specification whether it be in a day or night.
Launch Timeline
Though there is no official date announced for the launch yet, it is being believed that Xperia 1 VII will be launched in June 2025. The smartphone, which is excellent in imaging and display technology, can make a place in the market for users who want the premium experience with an Android smartphone.
LG discontinued Smartphone Support
In the similar news, LG has announced to shut down all the services and support for their smartphone. They are stopping all the servers from June 30 2025. In the 2021, when LG took exit from the smartphone league, they announced to provide 3 year support post their exit. Now, since that period has ended, they will end all the their services and all servers on June 2025.
