Cooked rice, 2 cups

Boiled potatoes (2 medium-sized)

Green chili (finely chopped) 1-2

Ginger (grated) 1/2 tsp

Red chili powder 1/2 tsp

Garam masala 1/2 tsp

Cornflour/maida 2 tbsp (for binding)

How to make rice balls :

In a large bowl, mix cooked rice, mashed potatoes, green chilies, ginger, coriander leaves, spices, and salt. Now add cornflour and mix everything well. Apply a little oil on your hands and make medium-sized round balls from the mixture. Wrap each ball in bread crumbs so that it becomes crispy while frying. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry the rice balls on low flame till they become golden brown. Serve hot rice balls with tomato sauce, green chutney, or curd. You can also make cheesy rice balls by stuffing a piece of cheese inside them. If you want to bake, bake at 180°C for 15–20 minutes.
