SSC CHSL Notification 2025
If you’ve been waiting for the SSC CHSL 2025 notification, today’s your day! The Staff Selection Commission is scheduled to publish its fifth big recruiting for June.This is number five for the month, and there are still two more coming. SSC CHSL (Combined Higher Secondary Level) exam, the most sought after among 12th pass candidates, begins its online registration process from today, Monday.
As per the government SSC calendar, the closing date for application is 18 July 2025, but the Tier-1 computer-based test will probably take place between 8 to 18 September 2025. In this test, different departments and offices of the central government recruit for the posts of Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator (DEO).
Interestingly, last year’s CHSL 2024 exam saw a massive 34.55 lakh applications, but only 3437 posts were up for grabs. This year’s competition is expected to be just as intense, if not more.
Eligibility Criteria
Here’s the essential info you’ll need before you apply:
For Data Entry Operator (DEO) and DEO Grade-A roles in ministries like Culture and Food & Public Distribution – candidates must have cleared 12th grade in Science stream.
For LDC, JSA, or DEO (Grade-A) in other departments – candidates from any stream can apply.
The age bracket for applicants is 18 to 27 years.
So, if you fit the criteria and want a stable government job, this might just be your shot.
Selection Process
The process is split into two stages:
Tier-1: A computer-based exam that screens eligible candidates.
Tier-2: Another computer test, but with two parts, one for written questions and another for a typing or skill test, depending on the post.
Upcoming SSC Recruitments
1. SSC MTS Notification on 26 June
The application window for Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar posts in CBIC & CBN will open from 26 June to 24 July. Examinations are to be anticipated from 20 September to 24 October 2025.
2. SSC JE Notification on 30 June
The Junior Engineer recruitment (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical) will be announced on 30 June, with Paper-1 scheduled for 27 to 31 October.
Delayed SI Recruitment
For now, the hiring for Sub-Inspector (SI) posts in Delhi Police and CAPFs has been put off. SSC mentioned the delay was due to internal administration reasons. Last year, over 7.3 lakh candidates applied for this exam, showing just how high the demand is.
Ongoing SSC Recruitments
1. SSC Phase-13 (2423 Posts)
Last date to apply is 23 June, fee deadline is 24 June, and the correction window is 28–30 June. CBT is expected between 24 July to 4 August.
2. SSC CGL 2025 (14582 Posts)
One of the biggest openings this year. Apply till 4 July, pay the fee by 5 July. Posts include ASO, Tax Assistant, Auditor, Sub-Inspector, and more.
3. Stenographer Grade C & D (261 Posts)
Application ends 26 June, fee deadline is 27 June, correction window opens 1–2 July. Exams from 6 to 11 August.
4. Translator Recruitment (437 Posts)
Register for Junior Hindi Translator, Senior Translator, and Sub-Inspector (Hindi) vacancies in CRPF on or before 26 June 2025 via ssc.gov.in.
