The most talked-about moment came when Gaurav jokingly told the man, “Come on, recite the Hanuman Chalisa.” The crowd erupted. Someone shouted “sindoor” from the back but Gaurav quickly shut it down with a stern, “No misbehaving.” Despite the bold jokes he kept things respectful even praising the man for attending the show.
The Pakistani guest introduced himself as Hasan. Gaurav smiled and asked, “Is that your real name or your code name?” The whole room laughed againl but it didn’t stop there.
Kashmir Punchline Hits Hard
Then came the joke that turned this moment into a viral sensation. Gaurav asked if they had Banias (a popular Indian community stereotype) in Pakistan. Hasan replied, “Yes, I get all your jokes.” That’s when Gaurav struck with, “But you still don’t get it.Kashmir isn’t coming to you. We’ve been saying this for years but you people keep showing up.”
The delivery was sharp, bold and completely unscripted.
