Have you ever thought that there can be something more powerful than Swift? If your answer is Swift Sport, then you are absolutely right. But this time we are talking about the Swift that maintains its grip on every road – yes, we are talking about Suzuki Swift AllGrip. And now, the Suzuki team of Netherlands has prepared a special edition of it – Swift AllGrip FX.
Special Swift made for rough roads
The AllGrip version of Swift is not a new model. It is already being sold in countries like Japan, Europe and UK. Its purpose is not off-roading but to provide better grip on slippery roads or snowy areas. But in Netherlands it has been made a little more rough-tough, so that it looks more powerful and can also do some off-roading.
What is special in Swift AllGrip FX?
This model has been named Swift AllGrip FX and it is a kind of custom model. It cannot be bought in general stores because it is a special project made only for the Netherlands.
There are some special things in the exterior look like –
- Thule luggage carrier on the roof
- Tralert LED light bar on the front bumper
- Black Suzuki logo and black lettering of SUZUKI at the back
- 16-inch black alloy wheels
- Michelin CrossClimate 2 tyres with wide 195 section
- Changes in ground clearance and interior
This Swift has been raised 32mm higher than the normal version, which makes its look feel like an SUV.
On the inside, you get dual-tone leather seats. Along with this, a small cool box and rubber mats have also been given which make its adventure theme stronger.
Engine and power
It has the same 1.2L, 3-cylinder petrol engine which gives 81 bhp power and 112 Nm torque. It gets a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AllGrip AWD system that selectively allocates power to the wheel that needs the most grip.
When will such a Swift come to India?
Unfortunately, Maruti Suzuki does not yet offer an AWD or turbo version of the Swift in India. And the Swift AllGrip FX made in the Netherlands is just a special model that doesn’t seem to be possible to bring into production right now – especially in a budget-sensitive market like India.
