Tata Motors to Launch 7 New Cars by 2030

India’s leading automobile company Tata Motors has made a big announcement about its planning for the coming years. The company intends to launch a total of 30 new models in the Indian market by the year 2030. These will also include updated versions of some old models, but the special thing is that Tata is going to launch a series of 7 brand new vehicles, which have never been seen on Indian roads till now.

It will start with Tata Sierra

The first vehicle of this new journey of Tata Motors will be “Tata Sierra”, which has already garnered a lot of discussion among the people. This SUV was showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo and now preparations are underway for its production version. The company will first launch it in petrol and diesel engine (ICE) versions and after that will also bring the electric model to the market.

The design of this SUV will be boxy and in classic style like the old Sierra, which will give people a feeling of nostalgia. Testing for its petrol and diesel versions has been seen many times on the roads of India.

Two premium electric vehicles will come from the Avinya brand

Tata is also going to fully expand its electric segment. For this, the company will bring a new electric sub-brand named “Avinya”. Two models will be brought under this brand – Avinya and Avinya X. Avinya X was shown as a concept car at the 2025 Auto Expo and is expected to be launched in the year 2027.

The vehicles of the Avinya series will be fully electric and are being prepared keeping in mind the premium customers. The focus of the company is that through these vehicles it can make a distinct identity in the EV segment.

Preparation of four more new vehicles

Apart from the Sierra and Avinya series, Tata is planning four more new vehicles. Of these, two vehicles will come with petrol / diesel engines and two vehicles will be electric. However, the company has not yet made any information public about these models.

According to media reports, these four vehicles can target different segments – some will be for affordable customers and some for premium customers. Tata may bring a small SUV which is equal to or slightly larger than the Punch and on the other hand a new premium SUV can also come which is inspired by the Harrier, but has a slightly different design.

What is the goal of Tata Motors?

At present, Tata has 8 car models in India. The company plans to increase this number to 15 by 2030. That is, Tata will have almost double the lineup in the next 5 years. These will include vehicles from both ICE and EV segments.

This plan of the company shows that Tata no longer wants to be just a traditional car manufacturer, but it wants to play a leading role in future mobility technology. Its investment in electric vehicles and emphasis on new technologies can be considered a big step in this direction.

Will it be beneficial for the customers?

This strategy of Tata Motors is good news for customers, as it will give them more options, especially in the electric vehicle segment. Also, for those who like cars with classic design, models like Sierra will bring a new experience.
