Tata Nexon EV vs Mahindra XUV400 EV : Electric vehicles (EVs) are the future, and in India, people are thinking very seriously about switching to EVs. Two on the top of the list among the electric SUV enthusiasts are the Tata Nexon EV and the Mahindra XUV400 EV. Both are from well-known Indian brands and possess good features, good performance, and good design. But if you are confused which one to buy, do not worry! Let us make it easier.

    1. Appearance and Design

Tata Nexon EV: It looks rugged, fashionable, and actually quite contemporary-looking, especially post-2023 facelift. The bold front grille, LED headlights, and sporty appearance draw the attention of young buyers.
Mahindra XUV400 EV: It looks more traditional and bigger. The wide stance, minimal designs, and copper tone give a SUV-like mature appearance.
If you want a sporty and youthful appearance, Nexon EV is perfect.
If you prefer a muscular and spacious SUV look, XUV400 EV would be a better option.

    2. Battery, Range, and Performance

Tata Nexon EV comes in two variants: Medium Range (MR) with about 325 km range and Long Range (LR) with about 465 km (ARAI certified) range.
Mahindra XUV400 EV offers a range of 375 km to 456 km depending on the variant.
In practical use, both cars offer good range, but Nexon EV’s LR model covers slightly more distance. XUV400 is slightly faster in pick-up, though.

    3. Features and Comfort

Why is FC Barcelona not playing in the FIFA Club World Cup?

Tata Nexon EV is loaded with features like a gargantuan 12.3-inch display, wireless charge, 360-degree camera, ventilated seats, and ADAS (safety feature).
Mahindra XUV400 EV does things in a straightforward manner but delivers the basics like a 7-inch screen, sunroof, cruise control, and 6 airbags.
If you are a premium experience and tech gadget individual, then Nexon EV is the winner.

    4. Price

Tata Nexon EV starts from around Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Mahindra XUV400 EV starts from around Rs 15.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
Nexon EV is marginally cheaper and offers more model options.
