Tata Nexon EV vs Mahindra XUV400 EV : In 2025, when the Tata Nexon EV will collide with the Mahindra XUV400 EV to fight for the title of top two electric vehicles in India. Both electric vehicles are modern feature-packed SUVs with attractive looks and respectable ranges. The purchasing decision begs the question: Which EV presents a better deal for money? Let’s break it down.
Design and Road Presence
If you were to check the Nexon EV designers’ notes, you would see that they were encouraged to create a car that looks ultra-modern, with its closed front grille, edgy LED DRLs, and modern alloys. It has undergone comprehensive facelift work and now has a more premium look. The dashboard is clean, with a 12.3-inch touchscreen and a stylish two-spoke steering wheel.
The Mahindra XUV400 EV poses a bold SUV presence. It is of more length as compared to the Nexon EV, which adds to its ruggedness. The interior may not modernize like that of the Nexon, but spaciousness and sturdiness with a roomy boot for travel cuts off the mustard.
Performance and Range
Nexon EVs are offered in two embodiments; the MR and the LR. The MR has a city range of about 325 km, while the LR version gives about 465 km on a full charge. It allows for rapid charging and has an excellent pick-up with very smooth driving comfort. Both versions support fast charging.
