Tata Punch EV vs MG Comet EV : Electric vehicles are gaining momentum and increasing in popularity day by day in India, particularly in metropolises. Individuals are in search of smart, fashionable, and cost-saving EVs which are simple to drive and environmental friendly. Two electric vehicles became the favorite in 2024–25 of every individual – Tata Punch EV and MG Comet EV. Both are urban-friendly but look very different in terms of appearance, features, and dimensions. So, let’s compare them in plain words to determine which one is ideal for you.
1. Appearance and Size
The Tata Punch EV is mini-SUV-like in look. It is rugged and has an edgy look. It almost looks the same as the petrol Punch but with EV touches like a closed front grille and LED lights.
MG Comet EV, though, is a boxy small car. It is so small and really cute-looking, designed basically for city streets and traffic.
So, if you want an SUV-sporty type EV, use Punch EV. If you want a small cute car, Comet is fine.
2. Interior and Features
Inside, the Punch EV is roomy and chic. It has amenities such as a large touchscreen, digital speedo, auto climate control, wireless charging, and even a sunroof on its top trims.
The MG Comet EV also has a clever interior with twin screens (infotainment and driving data), connected car technology, and voice control. But it is not as roomy at the rear and boot.
3. Battery and Range
Tata Punch EV has two battery variants:
19.2 kWh (range – 315 km)
24 kWh (range – 421 km)
MG Comet EV comes with a 17.3 kWh battery pack and provides a range of around 230–250 km.
Therefore, the Punch EV is preferred if you need more range and highway usage.
