The American electric vehicle giant has signed a five year lease agreement for a 4,003-square foot showroom in the prestigious Maker Maxity complex, Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC), near Mumbai Airport.

 

This marks an important step in Tesla’s India journey as it reiterates its intent to bring a combative presence to one of the world’s fastest-growing automobile markets.

Tesla’s Mumbai Showroom: Lease Details and Cost Analysis

The registration document shows that the showroom’s initial annual rent would be $446,000 (₹3.7 crore). Just so that you know, this lease has a rent escalation of 5% in the following years thus the rent in the last year will sum up to $542,000 (₹4.5 crore).

With the luxury-end location of Maker Maxity, which is now synonymous with high-end business and retail. It is fitting for Tesla to resonate with its premium image as the electric car company gears up for India.
