A new chapter for the legendary Honda Activa
This household name, indeed, “the Honda Activa,” has ruled the Indian roads for eight decades and is adored and trusted by all signifying the change it is understood. Hosts of it are to follow because Honda Activa e has finally seen the earth’s first light as an electric version of the best-selling scooter within India.
Activa e-Hits Market available in Major Cities
The scooter is booked already from January 1 and has begun delivery to the customers who booked from February 1, 2025. The Activa e will hit the market under phase one and be available in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
Alongside this necessary effort to build a growing EV ecosystem Honda is also about to set up a network of battery swapping stations across India to ensure a hassle free and pleasant charging and riding experience.
Seamless Performance with Enhanced Battery Technology
There is a dual swappable battery pack in the Activa e of 1.5 kWh with a range of 99 km per charge. Rapid acceleration has resulted in the motor of 6kW developing a torque of 22 Nm that permits smooth and sustained riding.
Honda innovated through the introduction of a Battery as a Service model allowing the customer to buy the scooter without a battery and to rent one from Honda’s Power Pack Exchanger stations. This lowers the price barrier and makes owning an EV accessible for all.
Smart Features for a Smarter Ride
Honda has packed the Activa e with smart features made for Indian roads. The scooter maintains characteristic Activa looks having a ground clearance of 171 mm. As a result it performs less bumpy on the unforgiving Indian roads. 12 inch wheels coupled with front disc brake and rear drum brake provide safety and control.
Three ride modes are available: Standard, Sport, and Econ. Where reverse mode is included for easy parking although as a bonus for a little less under-seat storage due to the battery Honda did provide a front cupboard area with a USB charging port.
Cutting Edge Technology for Today’s Commuter
The H Smart Key brings in comfort and includes a smart find, smart safe, smart unlock and smart start. The Standard variant gets a 5 inch TFT display while the more premium RoadSync Duo variant features a 7 inch dashboard with turn by turn navigation and notification alerts.
About the Price and Availability of Honda Activa
The Honda Activa e starts at ₹1.50 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to ₹1.70 lakh for the premium RoadSync Duo variant. Presently, it is available exclusively at Honda’s current showrooms. However, plans have been made to soon launch exclusive electric scooter dealerships.
