Recently, in February Ola Electric released their sales figure of Feb 2025. Only 25,000 units were sold this month by the company which is less than 25.86% of last year’s sales. The company sold 33,722 units in February 2024. Despite this huge drop in sales, Ola Electric company is still leading the EV market with a huge margin of 28% share with them.

Reason for the Drop in Sales of Ola Electric

The company has recently updated the contract with the agencies who are doing the Vehicle Registration, this has led to the drop in registration numbers on VAHAN PORTAL for Feb month. This change was made by the company to improve the registration process and reduce costs.

 

If we compare the Ola Electric sales from January 2025, there is hardly any major difference between them. The sales were almost the same in both months. In January, the company sold 24,330 Units. According to Ola, the S1 series is holding up the market and has sold 4000 units. The service stores of Ola Electric are also becoming the backbone which helped them to maintain stability in the market.

Rural Areas and smaller cities are in Demand of Ola Electric.

An official person from Ola Electric commented that they have maintained their strong momentum of sales and held their position in the Market in February 2025. Around 4000 stores are spread all around the country, and the Scooter portfolio is getting huge demand from everywhere, this includes not just Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities, but also Tier 3 and Tier 4 cities.

New Bikes and scooters rocked.

Recently, Ola Electric launched the Gen 3 S1 Electric scooter series in February 2025, pricing between INR 79,999 and INR 1.70 Lakh (ex-showroom). The company’s first ever electric Motorcycle Roadster X is also introduced to the market pricing starts at INR 74,999 which goes to INR 1.55 Lakhs. The new bike is still struggling its way in the market but it will soon hit a new height for Ola Electric.

Next Steps for Ola Electric

Ola Roadster X is about to start their delivery in March 2025. As per Ola’s prediction, the Bike Roadster will reach the top of sales and will control the market with more margin. Also, it will promote EV adoption in the country for two-wheelers.
