TVS 450cc Twin-Cylinder Sports Bike : TVS Motor Company is preparing to launch a new 450cc twin-cylinder bike in India. The senior officials of the company themselves have confirmed that many new models will be introduced in the coming time. These will include an all-new electric scooter and TVS’s first 450cc fully-faired motorcycle.
This new bike is considered to be the next step in the company’s partnership with BMW Motorrad. TVS and BMW have previously produced bikes like Apache RR 310 and BMW G310 RR on the 310cc platform. Now this partnership is going to enter the 450cc segment.
This upcoming bike will be built on BMW’s new 450cc twin-cylinder engine platform, which the world first saw at the 2024 EICMA show. BMW’s F 450 GS is the first bike to be built on this platform and has recently been seen during testing in India.
This 450cc bike of TVS will be completely prepared in racing style and will be positioned above the Apache RR 310. There is no confirmation about its name yet, but it is believed that it can be named TVS Apache RR 450.
The engine used in the bike is special. BMW’s new 450cc engine is a liquid-cooled, parallel twin-cylinder engine, which gives 48 PS of power and 45 Nm of torque. This is the first engine in the world to have a 125-degree firing angle. TVS will use this engine in its bike with a slightly changed tune so that the performance of the bike can fit the supersport category.

Not only this, TVS’s British brand Norton is also preparing a new 450cc bike with the same engine. However, the tune of Norton’s bike will be kept a little mild, which will make it look like a classic roadster bike. Both the bikes will target different customers in their respective segments – one will be a high-performance sports machine and the other a premium retro-style roadster.
Apart from this, TVS is also working on a new electric scooter, which will be quite different from the company’s existing iQube range. This scooter will be specially designed for youth and performance-lovers. This new e-scooter will be more powerful than the current iQube and is expected to be launched in the market this financial year.
