Upcoming Honda Cars in India : Honda Cars India is going to bring a big change in the Indian automobile market in the coming few years. Currently, the company has only three models – Amaze, City and Elevate – but in the next two to three years, the company is going to expand its portfolio to a great extent. Honda will now focus on segments where it was not present till now – such as electric cars, sub-compact SUVs and 7-seater cars.

Let’s know about the upcoming 5 Honda vehicles to be launched in India-

1. Electric version of Honda Elevate

Honda is preparing to bring its first electric car to India, which will be the EV version of the Elevate SUV. This vehicle is planned to be launched in the market in 2026 and its name will be changed at the time of launch. This car will come under the company’s ACE project, in which 50-70% of the parts will be manufactured in India. This SUV will compete with MG ZS EV, Hyundai Creta EV, Tata Curvv EV and Maruti e-Vitara in the Indian market.

2. Honda ZR-V Hybrid SUV

Honda may soon launch its global SUV ZR-V in India. The company showed it to dealers earlier this year. It will get a hybrid engine consisting of a 2.0L petrol engine and two electric motors. Also, it will also be given an electric CVT gearbox and all-wheel drive system. If it comes to India, it will be launched as a CBU model.

3. New 7-seater SUV

Honda is working on an all-new 7-seater SUV in India, which can be launched by mid-2027. This car will be built on a new platform called PF2. Its design and development is being done by teams in Japan and Thailand, but the Indian team also has a big role in it. It can see the hybrid engine of Honda City and the 1.5L petrol engine of Elevate.

4. Next generation Honda City

Honda has started work on the new generation City car, which can be launched in India by 2028. This will be the second car to be built on the PF2 platform. The design will be completely changed in the new model and it will come in petrol and hybrid variants from the beginning. Hybrid and petrol versions of Honda City are still available in the market.

5. Honda’s sub-compact SUV

Honda is also preparing a new sub-compact SUV, which can be launched in the first half of 2029. Its length will be less than 4 meters and it will be based on the PF2 platform. It will get a 1.5L petrol engine. Earlier it was planned to bring it on the platform of City, but that plan was canceled due to rising costs. Now the situation is better and its production process can start soon.
