Upcoming Hyundai Cars : Hyundai has become a trusted name in the Indian automobile market. The company surprises customers every year by bringing something new. In the coming 18 to 24 months, Hyundai is planning to launch many new cars in India. Some of these will be brand new models, while some will be next generation versions of already existing popular cars. This time Hyundai is focusing specifically on the EV segment and is also refreshing its SUV portfolio.

1. New-generation Hyundai Venue – more advanced and smarter than ever

Hyundai Venue is very much liked in India, especially among urban customers. Now its next version can be launched by the end of this year. It has been seen many times during testing and it is clear from the leaked pictures that there is going to be a big change in its looks. The new Venue will look bolder and more premium than before.

Talking about the features, it can have features like 10.25-inch touchscreen, 360 degree camera, wireless Android Auto-Apple CarPlay. The special thing is that it is also expected to get Level 2 ADAS features, which will make it more safe. There will be no change in the engine – the same 1.2L petrol, 1.0L turbo petrol and 1.5L diesel engines will remain.

2. HE1i – Hyundai’s cheapest family EV

Hyundai is working on an affordable family electric car, codenamed HE1i. This car is being designed especially keeping in mind the Indian customers. It can be launched in the second half of 2026. It will be made at Hyundai’s Chennai plant and will be based on the design of the Inster SUV.

Two battery options can be given in this EV, which can get a range of 300 to 350 kilometers on a single charge. This car will directly compete with Tata Punch EV and Citroen eC3. It is expected that its price can be between ₹ 10-12 lakh, making it a perfect EV option for the middle class family.

3. Third-Gen Hyundai Creta – with a powerful hybrid version

Recently the facelift of Creta was launched, but the company has also started working on its third generation model. It is expected to arrive by 2027 and is codenamed SX3. The new Creta will be more stylish, premium and full of technology than before.

The existing petrol and diesel engine setup will be available, but a strong hybrid version can also be introduced in its top variant, which will make its mileage even better. There will also be a big change in its features like premium elements like ADAS, large touchscreen system, and panoramic sunroof.

4. New 7-seater hybrid SUV – first time in petrol-hybrid

Hyundai is now working on a new 7-seater SUV, which will fill the slot between Tucson and Alcazar. It is codenamed Ni1i and the company has recently started manufacturing it at the Talegaon plant acquired from General Motors. The launch of this car can happen in the first half of 2027.

This SUV will come with a petrol-hybrid engine for the first time and will challenge big SUVs like Tata Safari and Mahindra XUV700. It can be given a large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, premium sound system, 6-7 airbags and latest safety technology.

5. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Facelift – with new look and more range

Hyundai’s popular EV Ioniq 5 is now going to come to India in a new avatar. Its facelifted version has been launched in the international market in March 2024 and it can be brought to India soon. The new Ioniq 5 facelift will now come with a more premium interior and new exterior elements.

The most important thing is that it now has a bigger battery of 84 kWh, which has increased its range to 515 kilometers (WLTP). Apart from this, new physical buttons, updated steering wheel and some exclusive finishes have also been added to it. Its price can be around ₹ 50 lakh (ex-showroom).
