Some good news for teaching aspirants in Uttar Pradesh—UPESSC (Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission) has come out with a new recruitment process for Assistant Professor (B.Ed) positions at government-aided colleges. If you have been holding on to get a right teaching job, this may be your opportunity.

Important Dates and Number of Posts

The window for online application opened on May 23, 2025, and closes on June 12. Candidates can pay the application fee until June 13, while the final submission deadline for the form is June 14 by 5 PM.

With 107 vacancies available, the competition may be high, but the opportunity is certainly worth chasing if you’re eligible.

Who Can Apply (Qualification and Criteria)

You must have Master’s degree in Science, Math, Social Science, Commerce, or Language subject with a minimum of 55% marks, and also B.Ed or M.Ed degree as the prescribed by the subject to which you are applying.

Or with Master’s in Education (MA in Education) with 55% marks and also B.Ed, B.El.Ed, or equivalent accepted teaching qualification, you are eligible as well.

Apart from educational degrees, you also need to be cleared the UGC NET examination or possess a Ph.D. in Education. Choose the option that best suits your profile; both are acceptable.

Age Limit and Fees

Maximum age is 62 years.

For fee:

General, OBC, and EWS candidates: ₹2000

SC and ST candidates: ₹1000

Make sure to pay your fee before the due date, or your application won’t be accepted.

Pay Scale and Perks

In addition to a grade pay of ₹6000, the monthly salary ranges from ₹15,600 to ₹39,100. Also, you’ll receive allowances given by the UP government, making it a well-paying and secure teaching position.
