The Golf GTI will compete mainly with the Mini Cooper S, which comes in the same segment. The Mini Cooper S also has a 2.0-liter turbo petrol engine, which produces 204 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque. Its top speed is 242 km/h and it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds. However, it is a two-door car, which limits its utility. Its starting price in India is around Rs 44.90 lakh.
