Volkswagen Golf GTI : A new performance hatchback has entered the Indian automobile market. Volkswagen India has officially launched its popular car Golf GTI in India today. This car is special for those who are crazy about strong speed and style. The special thing is that it has been brought to India directly as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), that is, it has been completely built and imported from outside.

This latest version of Volkswagen Golf GTI is Mk 8.5, which is now ready to run on Indian roads. Its price has been kept at Rs 53 lakh (ex-showroom), which puts it in the category of a premium sports hatchback. Only 150 units came in the first phase, which have been fully booked. The company is now preparing for the second batch, which will include 100 units and will be brought by the end of this year. Delivery will start from June 2025.

This car has a 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol engine which generates 265 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox which takes it from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. That is, this car is not only great in style but also in speed.

Talking about the interior of the Golf GTI, it gives a very premium and sporty look. It has a large 12.9-inch infotainment display which is equipped with the latest connected technology. Along with this, digital instrument cluster, head-up display, automatic climate control and special GTI style interior finishes have also been given. Red contrast stitching has been done on the inside seating and dashboard which further enhances its sporty look. With the flat-bottom steering wheel, its driving feel becomes even more fun.

Many special elements are also seen in its exterior which make it different from the regular Golf. Such as dual exhaust tips, roof spoiler, GTI badge on the front door, LED taillights with 3D effect and animated turn signal lights. Also, red brake calipers and five-spoke alloy wheels make its performance identity more special.

Volkswagen Golf GTI will compete with cars like Mini Cooper S JCW in India. Its top speed is up to 250 kmph, which is electronically limited. Although this car is expensive, it can become an iconic choice for those who are crazy about performance and looks.
