Volkswagen Golf GTI Pre-Bookings in India from May 5: Limited Units, High Performance

Volkswagen Golf GTI  : Volkswagen India has now officially announced that the booking of their popular performance car Golf GTI will start in India from 5 May 2025. This is the first time that Indian customers will be able to buy this vehicle. This car will be available in limited units and will be imported directly from abroad as a CBU (Completely Built Unit).

Booking can be done only through the official website of Volkswagen and this option will be open for a limited time. Delivery of the car can start from next month and booking will be on first come, first served basis.

Combination of strong performance and style

The Golf GTI has a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder turbo petrol engine, which generates 265 PS of power and 370 Nm of torque. This car accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.9 seconds. It has a 7-speed DSG gearbox and its top speed is limited to 250 kmph.

Great in looks and features too

Many visual changes have been made to make the Golf GTI sporty and premium. This includes 3D LED tail lights, dynamic turn indicators, roof spoiler, dual exhaust, special GTI badging, red brake calipers and five-spoke alloy wheels.

Apart from this, the interior of the car has also been made quite advanced and full of features. It has a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will now also have ChatGPT integration so that you can do many things with voice commands. HUD, digital instrument cluster, multiple drive modes, climate control, ambient lighting, ventilated seats and sporty red theme also make this car special.

Technical upgrades will also be available

The GTI version also gets some upgrades at the mechanical level compared to the normal model. It gets advanced features like front axle differential lock and progressive steering system, which make driving even better.

What will be the price?

Volkswagen India has not yet revealed its price, but it is expected that its ex-showroom price will be above Rs 50 lakh. This car will be for those who want a performance based but also fit hatchback for daily use.
