On May 20, the teaser for War 2 dropped online and instantly set fans buzzing. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Aditya Chopra, the film stars Hrithik Roshan, Jr. NTR and Kiara Advani. It pulled in a massive 25.75 million YouTube views in just 24 hours. That’s more than Hrithik’s own Fighter teaser which had 23.1 million but still far from touching the insane numbers seen by Prabhas and Yash.

It was loud and glossy but didn’t hit the soul like KGF or Pushpa.

Despite War 2’s strong start it only reached the ninth spot among the top 10 most-viewed Indian movie teasers in a single day. Prabhas rules that list. Salaar Part- 1. Ceasefire stands tall with 83 million views in 24 hours. His other film, Adipurush, holds second with 68.9 million. Not far behind, KGF Chapter 2 starring Yash, grabbed 68.8 million.

War 2 Beats Fighter, Animal, and Dunki but Just Barely

War 2 may have overtaken Fighter, Animal (22.6 million), and even Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki (36.8 million), but it couldn’t chase down Pushpa 2 which had a huge 39.3 million. Prabhas’ lesser-loved Radhe Shyam even pulled 42.7 million views, showing just how powerful South fanbases have become.
