Despite the rain, the heat would not just suddenly lift. On the 14th of June, higher day temperatures could still hover above 40°C. Maximum temperatures will gradually cool down from the 15th to the 17th to about 37-39°C, accompanied by pleasant nights ranging from 27-29°C.

Daily Forecast: What to Expect

June 12-13: Heatwave alert continues (Red/Orange alert); max temperature near 42°C. Minimal outdoor exposure.

June 14: Beginning of weather transition with light rain in isolated storms.

June 15 to 17: Persistent rainfall with thunder; slight dips in temperatures.

June 18: Overcast and occasional drizzle would mark the end of the wet spell, with further relief in store.

Stay Safe: Heat Precautions Still Crucial

Heatstroke risks remain high until June 13. Delhiites are suggested to adhere to these measures:

1. Avoid direct sunlight between 12 noon to 4 p.m.

2. Drink plenty of fluids to stay hydrated.

3. Wear loose and light cotton clothes.

4. Carry a raincoat/umbrella as the weather is still unpredictable.

5.Maximum heat hours should be used to keep babies, elderly, and pets indoors.
