The full form of PAAR ID is – Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry.

It is a permanent academic identification number, which is created to digitally connect and keep the academic records of every student safe.

At the same time, ABC ID means – Academic Bank of Credits. It is like a digital bank, in which the record of students’ academic marks (credits) is deposited.

The main difference between the two is :

  • APAAR ID is a unique identification number.
  • ABC ID is a kind of academic bank account in which the student’s education-related credits are safe.

ABC ID cannot be created without APAAR ID. That is, creating APAAR ID is the first step, only after that ABC account is opened.

Are both different or the same?

APAAR ID is a number that tracks all your academic records.  ABC ID is a digital account that stores those records of. APAAR ID is linked to ABC account. So both of them are related to each other, but are not the same.

How to get an APAAR and an ABC ID

If you are studying in any government or private school from class 1 to 12 in India, then your APAAR ID will be generated by the school.

After passing 12th, if you take admission in graduation or other higher education, then you will have to create APAAR ID yourself and then it will be mandatory to open ABC account.

Important:

If your APAAR ID is not created before 12th, then there is no immediate problem. But after intermediate, you will need it.

Why is APAAR ID necessary?

  • It will have to be presented at the time of college admission in the future.
  • The entire record of your studies will be safe.
  • Under the credit system, there will be no problem in changing the course or changing the college.

How to create APAAR ID and ABC ID

School level (class 1 to 12):

Consent Form is taken by the school. The school itself generates the APAAR ID of the students.

After 12th (at higher education stage):

You will have to generate the APAAR ID yourself.

For this, your Aadhaar card must be linked to your mobile number.

You must have a DigiLocker account.

You will have to register yourself by going to the ABC official portal.

First, log in to DigiLocker → Then create APAAR ID → After this, open an ABC account.

What will happen if a student does not create an APAAR or ABC ID?

If you are studying till 12th, then there will be no major problem right now. But as soon as you take admission in graduation, diploma, B.Tech, B.Sc, B.A, M.A, M.Sc, or any other higher education course because ABC ID will be required at the time of college admission.

If you do not have an APAAR ID, you will not be able to create an ABC account.  Admission without ABC ID may be hindered.

There may be problems in government jobs and education-related processes in the future. Therefore, both APAAR ID and ABC ID must be created in time.
