Honda Two-Wheelers India is now planning to add some new models to its portfolio. One of these names has come into discussion again – Honda Scoopy. This scooter was patented in India earlier as well, but now the new patent that has come out is related to its latest 2025 version. It has been seen many times in India during testing.
Design and look of 2025 Honda Scoopy
Looking at the picture of the new patent, it is clear that this scooter has brought a modern touch along with the retro look. Its body still has the identity of the old Scoopy – round headlight, curvy body panel and classic styling. Its LED crystal block headlight gives this scooter a premium and different identity. The rear lights are also in round design which gives a good mix of its old and new look.
The D-shape indicator and round mirror at the front make it more retro. Features like single piece seat, raised exhaust and strong grab rail give it the look of a family scooter, but its look can be especially liked by the youth.
Color Options and Variants
No information has been revealed about its colors in India yet, but in Indonesia this scooter is being sold in 8 color options. Some variants come with a simple look, while some mid and top variants have been introduced with dual tone color and sporty graphics. This is the reason why there is a different and special feeling on seeing Scoopy, which is rarely found in any other scooter.
Engine and Performance
Honda Scoopy 2025 has a 109.5cc air-cooled engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology. This engine gives power of about 9 PS and torque of 9.2 Nm. The scooter gets an automatic transmission system, which makes it easy to drive.
It has an underbone frame with telescopic suspension at the front and swingarm suspension at the rear. Scoopy gets 12-inch wheels at the front and rear, with 100/90 tires at the front and 110/90 tires at the rear. Both wheels have drum brakes, and Honda’s combined braking system is also there.
Features and Technology
Scoopy has a simple but fully informative LCD instrument cluster that shows things like fuel average, trip meter, clock, battery status and oil change indicator. Its top variants also have a Smart Key System, which allows the scooter to be started without a key and the handle lock can be opened.
Along with this, it also has a strong security alarm and anti-theft feature, which has become necessary in today’s time.
What are the indications regarding the launch in India?
So far Honda Scoopy has not been launched in India, although it was patented in 2021 as well. But the patent has been filed again in 2025, which has raised expectations again. Some reports believe that the company can launch it in India by the end of 2025.
If Scoopy comes to India, it will directly compete with scooters like Yamaha Fascino and Vespa. Looking at its design and features, it seems that it can be kept slightly premium over Activa, but its real price and variants will be known only when the company officially introduces it.
Result
If the 2025 version of Honda Scoopy is launched in India, it can emerge as a stylish and feature-rich scooter. Its look will appeal to the youth and the features will also attract family users. Now it remains to be seen when Honda launches it in India and what is its price.
