How to Reset Your EPF Password — A Simple Guide
Step 1: Start by accessing the internet and typing in the EPFO website address — epfindia.gov.in.
Step 2: Once the page loads, find and click on the ‘Forgot Password’ section.
Step 3: You’ll now be asked to enter your UAN (Universal Account Number) and a captcha code shown on the screen. Fill both carefully.
Step 4: Hit the ‘Verify’ button. If the UAN is a valid number, it will process you directly to the next step.
Step 5: You’ll now get a one-time password (OTP) on your registered mobile number — keep an eye out for it.
Step 6: Enter the OTP exactly as you received it, then hit the ‘Verify’ button to move ahead.
Step 7: This is the final step in which a new password comes in. Enter your choice of a good but easy-to-remember password and click ‘Submit’.
And that’s it, your new password is set! You can now access your EPF account with your updated login details and view your balance whenever you like.
