Hyundai Gears Up for Hybrid Revolution in India with All-New Creta & 7-Seater SUV

The demand for SUV vehicles in India is increasing day by day and in view of this, Hyundai Motor India is now preparing to bring a big change in its SUV range. The company is working on two new hybrid SUVs, one of which could be the new generation Creta and the other will be a brand new 7-seater premium SUV, which will be positioned between Alcazar and Tucson.
There will be a big change in the new generation Creta, hybrid engine can be available
Hyundai is planning to launch the new generation model of its most popular SUV, Creta, by 2027. This SUV will come with more advanced features, better design and fuel efficiency than before. It is reported that this time the company is going to give a strong hybrid petrol engine in it, which will give much better mileage and the performance will also be strong.

The company also recently introduced the Creta electric model at the ‘Bharat Mobility Global Expo’, which made it clear that now Hyundai has become very active about the electric and hybrid segment. The upcoming Creta, which is currently codenamed SX3, will be manufactured at the Hyundai plant in Tamil Nadu. It is also believed that some old options may continue in terms of engine and gearbox, but there will be a lot of new design and technology.
New 7-seater SUV: Bigger, more powerful and with hybrid tech
Hyundai is also working on a new 7-seater SUV that will directly compete with vehicles like Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari. This SUV will be bigger than the Alcazar but will be placed slightly below the Tucson so that its price can be kept under Rs 30 lakh. It is currently being codenamed Ni1i and its design is inspired by the long wheelbase Tucson found in China, which is about 4.68 meters in length.
This SUV will be produced at Hyundai’s new plant in Talegaon (Maharashtra). This SUV will also come with strong hybrid technology which will include a 1.5-litre petrol engine, an electric motor and a large battery pack. This setup will not only save fuel but will also give a low maintenance and smooth driving experience.
What new will customers get
The introduction of hybrid systems in both these SUVs will open up a new option for those customers in India who are now looking for more eco-friendly and fuel efficient options apart from petrol and diesel vehicles. Strong hybrid vehicles are gradually becoming popular in the Indian market and Hyundai’s entry can further heat up this segment.
