Long Summer Holiday Announced Due to Heatwaves in Across the Nation

Given that summer temperatures across India continue rising. The state education departments notification of summer vacation in schools has started to pour in. Some students and teachers will take a prolonged break as final examinations come to a close and extreme temperatures make activities outdoors unsafe.

Madhya Pradesh Fixes Vacation Dates for All Schools

The School Education Department of the state has announced that all private and public schools will go on holiday for students from May 1 to June 15. A holiday from May 1 to May 31 will be observed by teachers. This unified schedule brings clarity and uniformity for all the educational institutions across the state during the hot summer period.

Delhi Students Would Enjoy Summer Vacation of More Than 40 Days

Delhi has scheduled the summer vacation from May 11 to June 30 for schools. While students will enjoy their holidays for the full period, teachers are required to return on June 28 for pre-session duties. The extended vacation is at the time of the hottest months in the capital, a really welcomed relief from the harsh climate.

Jharkhand Asserts holiday period amidst the increased temperature

Jharkhand has finally advancd its summer breaks to June 4; the summer holidays have been from May 22 to June 2. The state education department revised the calendar due to the scorching heatwave activities ensuring priority of health and safety of learners in all districts.

Tamil Nadu Picnic During Warm Weather Gradually Kid 

Phased has been implemented in Tamil Nadu. The summer vacation commences from April 22 for students in standards 1 to 5. Classes 6 to 9 will start their holiday from April 25, while students of class 10 begin on April 15. All students will commence together again on June 1. This staggered setup is a well-planned transition into summer in an orderly fashion without jampacking.

Himachal Pradesh Reschedules Summer Holiday Window

The summer holidays of schools in Himachal Pradesh will now be observed between July 12 and August 12 which has reduced their duration as compared to the past years. Meanwhile, some specific regions such as Nalagarh, Una and Paonta Sahib will break from June 1 to June 30, adapting their schedule to local weather patterns.

Extra Holidays In April Allow Students Longer Time Off.

Students in many states will be enjoying multiple closures in April due to the Good Friday, Parshuram Jayanti and scheduled weekends well ahead of the official summer break. 

Though these breaks do not really count as summer vacation periods, they do allow students some solace from their schoolwork before heading into a long break.
