Former President Donald Trump, aged 78 years and closing in on his 79th birthday, was pronounced ‘fully fit’ to serve yet another term using a comprehensive medical evaluation on Friday. The health report released on Sunday by the White House was by Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, the physician currently overseeing Trump’s health care.

What the Doctors Said

The doctor of Mr. Trump says that considering the opinion of Dr. Barbabella, Mr. Trump’s well-being is “excellent” and he is “fully fit to execute the duties of Commander in Chief and Head of State”.

According to the report, the high functioning life that Mr.Trump is enjoying with several public engagements, meetings and Dr. Barbabella says that “many wins in golf tournaments have been achieved” despite being advanced in age.

After the last official in-person exam in 2020, President Trump has lost some twenty pounds. Thus, he weighs 224 pounds and has lost 20 pounds from 244 pounds in the last four years.

Cholesterol, too, is much better in Trump’s case. Presently, he takes rosuvastatin and ezetimibe medications for lowering cholesterol that have reduced his total cholesterol from 223 in 2018 to 140, which is well below the medically accepted number of 200 which is deemed the ideal for heart health. ones. Besides that, a colonoscopy was done as well in July 2024. It showed a benign polyp and gave a diverticulosis diagnosis, a common ailment for older adults in which small bulging pouches form in the digestive tract.
