Mahindra is preparing to present its popular Bolero in a completely new avatar. Recently it has been seen on the roads several times during testing, due to which its launch is expected soon. It is believed that the company can present it in August, but officially it has been said so far that Mahindra is going to show a new platform on Independence Day. More information related to this can be revealed in the coming days.
Big change will be seen in the design
The look of the new Bolero will be more modern and attractive than before. Round headlights have been given on the front which will be connected with a brand new grill. LED DRLs will now be seen below the bumper and heavy black cladding with new multi-spoke alloy wheels will give it a strong look. There will be flush handles on the doors, which have never been seen in Bolero till now.
Luxury touch will come in the interior
Till now Bolero was known as a simple and strong SUV, but this thinking is going to change in the new Bolero. Inside this, many features like bigger infotainment display, multifunction steering wheel, automatic climate control, driver seat height adjustment will be available. The dashboard will also come with a more premium touch than before. It is expected that six airbags and ADAS features can also be given in it.
Inclusion of sunroof for the first time
This will be the first time in the history of Bolero that it will be given a panoramic sunroof. This feature will put it closer to Mahindra’s other premium SUVs like XUV700 and Scorpio-N. Apart from this, a semi-digital instrument console of Scorpio-N can also be seen in it.
Engine will also be improved
Currently, Bolero is given a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder turbo diesel engine which gives power of about 99 bhp and is equipped with a manual gearbox. But in the new model, it is likely that Mahindra will give a new 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine in it which will give more power and torque than before. The same engine is also being used in Mahindra Thar 3-door and XUV 3XO.
New platform and new identity?
The new Bolero can be built on the company’s new NFA (New Flexible Architecture) platform, which is going to form the foundation of many future Mahindra SUVs. This version of the Bolero can be different from the current Bolero and it may also be given a new name or nickname, such as Bolero Neo.
The trust of Bolero will remain
Mahindra Bolero has maintained its strong hold in India for the last two decades. Its strong performance and reliable design have made it popular in both rural and urban areas. In such a situation, it is likely that despite the arrival of the new model, the old model will also be available in the showroom.
